SERVES: 10 Biscuits



1 lb sweet potatoes

2 tablespoons milk

1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

2 tablespoons sugar

1 tablespoon baking powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 stick cold unsalted butter, cut into small pieces




Preheat oven to 425°F.


Prick sweet potatoes in several places with a fork, and then bake on a baking sheet (middle rack) until very tender, 1 to 1 hour & 25 minutes.



Now that you have mastered the home bar space, you are now ready to make some sexy drinks. Most bartenders say that if you know how to make the below drinks, you will be ready to make anything thrown at you, well almost anything.




Fill a shaker ¾ full with ice and pour in a splash of very dry vermouth.


Shake well. Gently pour the vermouth (through the strainer, leaving the ice in the shaker) down the drain.


Pour 2 oz. vodka or gin into the shaker.

This dish goes great with hot cooked white rice or steamed vegetables.





4 boneless, skinless chicken breast halves

1/4 teaspoon pepper

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 egg beaten

5 tablespoons All-purpose flour

3 tablespoons butter or margarine

5 tablespoons of fresh lemon juice

1 cup chicken broth

4 lemon slices (optional)




Season the chicken with salt and pepper to taste.


Dip chicken in egg, then in flour.

6 fluid ounces tequila 

2 fluid ounces triple sec

8 ounces frozen sliced strawberries in syrup

4 fluid ounces frozen limeade concentrate




Fill a blender with ice and crush.


Pour in the tequila and triple sec.
