SERVES: 4

INGREDIENTS:

1 egg

1 tablespoon water

1/4 cup salsa

1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper

1 cup grated cheddar cheese

1 pastry sheet, thawed (in freezer section Pepperidge Farm® Puff Pastry Sheets)

3 tablespoons flour

INSTRUCTIONS:

Heat oven to 400F degrees.

In a bowl beat the egg and water with a fork.

In a separate bowl mix the cheese, salsa, and pepper.

Pour the flour on a flat surface. Place the pastry sheet on top of the flour. Cut into 20 (3-inch) squares. Place about 1 tablespoon of the cheese mixture in the center of each pastry square. Brush the edges of the pastry squares with the egg mixture. Fold the pastry over the filling to form triangles. Crimp the edges with a fork to seal. Place the filled pastries onto baking sheets. Brush the pastries with the egg mixture.

Place the baking sheets in the pre-heated oven and bake for 15 minutes or until the pastries are golden brown. Remove the pastries from the baking sheets and let cool for 10 minutes before serving.
