Cajun Beef


This recipe adds a little spice to the regular ground beef. Best served with a side of rice or mashed potatoes.





1/2 pound ground beef

1 medium onion, chopped (about 1/2 cup)

1 medium stalk celery, chopped (about 1/2 cup)

2 teaspoons Cajun seasoning

1 small green bell pepper, chopped (about 1/2 cup)

2 medium tomatoes, chopped (about 1 1/2 cups)

2 (11 1/2 ounce) cans lightly tangy eight-vegetable juice 8 medium fresh okra (sliced)




Heat 12-inch skillet over medium-high heat.


Add beef, onion, celery and Cajun seasoning to skillet.


Stir frequently for about 4 minutes.


Continue cooking until beef is brown and vegetables are tender.


Stir in remaining ingredients.


Reduce heat to medium-low.


Cover and cook for about 5 minutes.
