Hamburger Stroganoff

 

SERVES: 12


INGREDIENTS:

3 pounds ground beef

3 medium onions, chopped

2 cloves garlic, minced

2 teaspoons salt

½ teaspoon pepper

12 ounces of sliced mushrooms (fresh or canned)

30 ounces condensed cream of chicken soup (about 3 cans)

3 cups dairy sour cream

12 ounces noodles, cooked and drained

 

INSTRUCTIONS:

 

In a large roasting pan, add the onion, garlic and beef. Cook, while stirring, until meat is brown. Remove the excess fat with a spoon.

 

Add the salt, pepper, mushrooms and soup. Bring to a boil while stirring. Then reduce the heat and cook uncovered for 10 minutes. Slowly add the sour cream while stirring. Do not let it boil.

 

Cook for about 5 minutes. Serve the meat mixture over hot noodles.
