Apple Cider Syrup

Instead of maple syrup try this syrup next time you are making pancakes or French Toast. It’s delicious and especially great on anything that has cinnamon.

INGREDIENTS:

1/4 teaspoon cinnamon

1/4 teaspoon nutmeg

1/2 cup sugar

2 tablespoons all-purpose flour

1 and 1/2 cups apple cider

1 tablespoon of lemon juice

3 tablespoons butter

INSTRUCTIONS:

In a large saucepan mix the cinnamon, nutmeg, sugar, and flour. Then slowly add the cider and lemon juice. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until the mixture begins to boil. Boil and stir for 1 minute then add the butter and remove from heat. Let the butter melt then stir right before serving.
