Chocolate Chip Cholocate Cookies

 

This recipe is a classic. I remember as a child eating warm chocolate chip chocolate cookies! The chocolate melting within your mouth, touching your taste buds, and the smell fulfilling your every sense. Ahhh the joys of child hood. Or adult hood if you treat yourself to this occasional treat.

 

Do your kids eat these cookies right up?

 

SERVES: 5 dozen cookies


INGREDIENTS:

1/3 cup cocoa

2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking soda

1/2 teaspoon salt

3/4 cup white granulated sugar

3/4 cup packed light brown sugar

1 cup butter, softened

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

2 eggs

2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

1 cup chopped walnuts

 

INSTRUCTIONS:

 

Heat oven to 375F degrees.

 

In a bowl stir together the cocoa, flour, salt, and baking soda. In a separate bowl, with electric mixer, beat sugars, butter and vanilla for about 2 minutes until creamy.

 

Add the eggs and mix. Add the flour mixture to the butter mixture and mix well. Stir in the chips and nuts. Using a teaspoon, measure out the dough and place on a cookie sheet about 2 inches apart.

 

Bake for 8 to10 minutes. Allow them to cool then serve. Makes about 5 dozen cookies.
