Easy Apple Pie

SERVES: 4

 

INGREDIENTS:

8 apples

1/2 cup brown sugar

1/4 teaspoon mace

1/4 teaspoon apple pie spice

1/4 teaspoon cinnamon

Pillsbury Pastry or your own pastry

Dash of white sugar

 

INSTRUCTIONS:

 

Peel and cut the apples.

 

In a large bowl mix the apples with brown sugar, mace, cinnamon and apple pie spice.

Roll out the Pillsbury Pastry or your own pastry in pie pan.

 

Sprinkle with white sugar.

 

Add the apple mixture.

 

Top with upper pastry and sprinkle generously with white sugar.

 

Bake 10 minutes at 425F degrees, then 35 minutes at 400F degrees.

 

You can let it cool to room temperature and then refrigerate and serve chilled. Or you can serve it warm with ice cream.
