Adding cheese is a great alternative to the traditional garlic bread recipe. 

 

Which do you prefer?

 

SERVES: 4

 

INGREDIENTS:

1 long loaf of French bread or Italian bread

1/2 cup butter

2 tablespoons freshly chopped parsley

4 large cloves garlic, minced (or 3 teaspoons garlic powder)

salt, to taste

freshly ground black pepper, to taste

1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese

Yesterday, I posted another way to make French onion soup. The recipe below does not require French bread or hot sauce.

 

Which recipe do you prefer?

 

SERVES: 6

 

INGREDIENTS:

1/4 cup of butter

4 large onions, sliced into large pieces

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

1/2 teaspoon sugar

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 tablespoon flour

6 cups beef broth

1/2 cup of white wine

12 tablespoons shredded Swiss cheese

SERVES: 6

 

INGREDIENTS:

1/4 cup of butter

4 large onions, sliced into large pieces

6 cups beef broth

1 tablespoon flour

1 teaspoon hot sauce like Tabasco

6 slices toasted French bread

12 tablespoons shredded mozzarella cheese

SERVES: 4

 

INGREDIENTS:

2 hard-cooked eggs, chopped

2 cups cooked elbow or bowtie macaroni, cooled

1/4 cup chopped celery

2 teaspoons onion powder

1/3 to 1/2 cup mayonnaise

1/2 teaspoon salt and pepper to taste

 

INSTRUCTIONS:

 

In a large bowl combine all of the ingredients, adding mayonnaise a little at a time until you like the taste.

 

Stir well.

Beef Jerky

 

INGREDIENTS:

1 1/2 lb Flank Steak

Soy Sauce

 

INSTRUCTIONS:

 

Cut a 1/2 inch thick of the flank steak.

 

Cut away all fat.
